THE PROFICIENCY LEVEL OF THE GRADE 7 STUDENTS AFTER THE LEARNING ENHANCEMENT THROUGH GAMES IN ARALING PANLIPUNAN

This study focused on determining the proficiency level in Araling Panlipunan of Grade 7 students in Pigcawayan National High School, Pigcawayan, Cotabato for S.Y.2015-2016 after the learning enhancement through games. The study included the demographic profile of the participants and the significant difference in the proficiency level. The study used the descriptive-exploratory research design. Statistical tools used were frequency counts, percentage distribution and mean for the profile of the participants; t-test to determine the significant difference before and after the learning enhancement through games and in terms of sex; and ANOVA in terms of age and religious affiliation of participants.

Majority of the participants were 13 years old and they have the same number of frequency distribution in terms of sex. Majority of them were Roman Catholics; there was no significant difference in the proficiency level of the participants before and after the learning enhancement through games in Araling Panlipunan; there was no significant difference in the proficiency level of the participants after the learning enhancement through games in Araling Panlipunan when grouped by age and religious affiliation; but there was a significant difference in the proficiency level of the participants after the learning enhancement through games in Araling Panlipunan when grouped by sex. The females had significantly higher learning enhancement through games than the males.
