This research assessed the study skills of the second year and third year students taking Bachelor of Secondary Education at Southern Christian College. It also aimed to determine the demographic profile of the respondents, assess their study skills, and determine the location where they preferred to study in preparation for exams and discussions.
Based on the findings of the study, it was found that majority of the respondents were between 17-19 years old. They were single, female, in their second year, and not recipients of any scholarship.
The study revealed that the respondents had good study skills in note taking, study techniques, skills in reviewing of notes and reading. They preferred to study their lessons at home because they were more comfortable to study there and they do not want to be interrupted by others. Meanwhile, the third year BSED students preferred to study their lessons at the library.
