Adviser: Gary O. Apostol
This study focused on the history of Kimagango Barangay High School. It aimed to determine the profile of the key informants as to their sex, age, religious affiliation, and ethno linguistic group; to determine when and how the school was established; to identify the prime movers; to know its first principal; and to recognize the first batch of teachers and graduates. The data were generated through interviews of the key informants, and secondary data were gathered from journals and records from the school. Of the 20 key informants, majority were male and were Cebuano. It was found that Kimagango Barangay High School was established in 1967. Its first campus was in the elementary ground and later on transferred to its present site. The school produced its first batch of graduates in 1971, with 16 students, seven of whom were male, and nine were female. The school also suffered from a tragedy of burning of its first structure. It was also found that the establishment of the school was realized through the effort of the barangay council and the community people. It was pursued because of their need to have affordable education for the whole community.
